Facilities Technician

Overview

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair client buildings.
• Prioritize daily activities and schedule work orders.
• Keep management informed of progress and delays for preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure timely, cost‑effective completion of authorized work orders.
• Respond to client questions and resolve problems professionally.
• Interact courteously with client staff, vendors, and the public.
• Follow directions of Supervisor to meet departmental and client objectives.
• Use safety training and practices; respond to emergencies and coordinate after‑hours work.
• Inspect completed work for compliance with local building and safety codes.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Minimum 3 years of proven facilities experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Systems (CMMS) (preferred).
• Ability to work efficiently with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong prioritization and project management skills.
• Independent problem‑solving for facilities/equipment repair issues.
• Superior communication skills (written, verbal, active listening).
• Self‑motivated, capable of self‑management with little oversight.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to establish effective cross‑functional relationships.
• Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

• Stand and walk up to 10–12 hours per shift.
• Navigate the facility throughout the day.
• Occasionally lift/carry up to 25–50 lbs.
• Operate machinery controls and computers using hands and fingers.
• Visual acuity sufficient for inspection and reading digital/printed materials.
• Hearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively.
• Perform tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Communicate safely and effectively in written and verbal English.

Salary Range: $21.29 – $30.63 per hour.
