As a Metrology Technician that supports manufacturing at the Glasgow, DE Siemens Healthineers Site you will be part of a team that works together to ensure compliance with site calibrations and company standards as well as solve complex problems, and support processes to keep a world class manufacturing site supplying the world with product.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform calibrations of commercial and R&D equipment.
- Process documentation of change requests and outside vendor data.
- Maintain a safe work environment, comply with OSHA policies, and support safety initiatives.
- Completing electronic logs while utilizing Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Reading and understanding schematics, drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Work with vendors to specify and order necessary parts for jobs and schedule service.
- Pressure/vacuum testing, torque testing, temperature testing and pipetting/pipette testing.
- Calibration of stand-alone units, as well as integrated assets on manufacturing lines.
- Working with internal and external customers to schedule calibrations.
- Troubleshoot testing equipment.
Physical & Work Environment
This role involves working across the Glasgow, Delaware site. You should be comfortable wearing proper PPE. Physical demands include standing, squatting, climbing ladders, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with Lean business systems and methodologies such as TPM, 5S and Standard Work.
- 3-5 Years experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Position will require occasional weekend overtime
- Experience with basic hand tools
- Preferred experience of using a CMM system to maintain data (SAP/Cerdaac)
The base pay range for this position is:
$64,060 - $88,088
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
