Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Client in Newark, DE seeks a Service and Warehouse Manager (Full‑Time, Temp‑to‑Hire). Working Monday‑Friday 8AM‑4PM, with occasional overtime and travel.
OverviewThe role involves rebuilding granulator machinery, setting up Waste Tech machines for delivery, managing shipping of small items, and overseeing all warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities- Rebuild and maintain granulators to ensure proper working condition.
- Set up and prepare Waste Tech machines for delivery, ensuring all specifications are met and machines are operational.
- Oversee inventory of small items, ensuring accurate packaging and timely shipment.
- Manage warehouse: organize materials and tools, maintain cleanliness, ensure safety standards.
- Coordinate with logistics to ensure timely deliveries and shipments.
- Conduct regular checks and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
- Occasionally travel (continental U.S. and Canada) to assist with on‑site machine setups, repairs, and service tasks.
- Utilize general electrical knowledge to assist in machine setup and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot customer service issues remotely, providing timely solutions and technical support.
- Previous experience in machine assembly, repair, or warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems and granulator equipment.
- Proven experience managing a warehouse or service department.
- General electrical knowledge, ability to troubleshoot electrical issues on machinery.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and time‑management skills.
- Strong communication skills for remote troubleshooting.
- Willingness and ability to travel (up to 25% of time). Able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Experience with machines or similar industrial machinery.
- Forklift certification or experience with warehouse machinery.
- Ability to read technical schematics or manuals.
Occasional travel (Continental U.S. and Canada). Physical demands may include lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in a warehouse environment. Flexible working hours depending on travel requirements and project deadlines.
Compensation & BenefitsAnnual salary: $50k. Health insurance, 401k, paid time off.
Location & ScheduleWork location:
In‑person at Newark, DE 19713. Full‑time 8hour shift, weekdays 8AM‑4PM. Willingness to travel up to 25% preferred.
