Chief II Day Custodian

Provide coordination, as directed by building principal and Facilities Manager, in providing for optimum custodial services in the building, including coordination of the custodial staff and a share of custodial duties. Hours of work may vary on day shift per discretion of Facilities Manager. Reports to the Facilities Manager and/or the building principal or their designee. Ability to read basic operating instructions, write reports, and maintain written records.

Must hold a chief custodian certificate (120 hours). Salary:
Commensurate with appropriate salary schedule. Effective Nov 2025.

Coordinates and participates in the general cleaning of the school building. Oversees maintenance needs of the building. Assists leadership in the selection, assignment, and scheduling of the custodial staff. Provides training and orientation of members of the custodial staff. Daily inspection for cleanliness, safety and security of buildings and grounds. Assists in snow removal and identifies maintenance needs of power equipment.

Checks school buildings as required on weekends and holidays as directed. Request supplies and equipment as needed. Performs minor maintenance tasks. Other duties as assigned.
