Safety Manager

Job Summary

The Safety Manager role is responsible for the maintenance and appearance of all attractions and the facility. The Safety Manager will assist with facilitating the repair and maintenance of the park and any associated equipment. The ideal candidate will be self‑motivated and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.

• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and parts inventory
• Assist with repair of equipment, troubleshooting issues, and maintenance of the park/attractions in superior working order
• Maintain the work area and back end in a neat and orderly manner
• Maintain an adequate supply of tools and machinery
• Read and interpret diagnostics from manuals
• Maintain a safe work environment and assist managers in ensuring staff adheres to all safety rules
• Advise the General Manager on any problems and/or potential problems discovered during maintenance of attractions
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Work various shifts and maintain regular attendance as a requirement for the role

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and a minimum of one year related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Some knowledge of amusement equipment is preferred but not required
• Work flexibility (nights, weekends, and holidays as needed)
• Basic working knowledge of hand tools and repairs
• General knowledge of related OSHA regulations and safety practices

• Work in a noisy, fast‑paced environment with distracting conditions
• Move about the facility and stand for long periods of time (over 60% of the time)
• This position is very active and requires standing, kneeling, bending, walking, reaching above shoulder, pushing, and pulling
• Requires lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying of up to 300 lbs. (70+ pounds with the assistance of a dolly)
• Ability to wear personal protective gear
• Perform various tasks while standing, sitting, talking, hearing, seeing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and using hands and fingers to operate tools (e.g., drills, ladders, chemicals, etc.)
