Maintenance Supervisor I
The Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and support the day-to-day operations of the maintenance team within our forging manufacturing facility. This position is a working supervisor role, meaning the individual will both supervise and actively participate in maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Supervisor ensures safety, equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and prompt response to mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues, directly impacting the efficiency and uptime of production equipment.
Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing direction, training, and support to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks, including interviewing, scheduling, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on forging machinery including presses, furnaces, cranes, compressors, and hydraulic systems.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment to minimize downtime.
Coordinate closely with production and engineering teams to prioritize maintenance activities and support production goals.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and the proper use of PPE.
Maintain and review CMMS records to ensure accurate documentation of work orders, maintenance schedules, and equipment history.
Respond to emergency maintenance needs during and outside of normal work hours as required.
Lead and participate in new equipment installation, setup, and testing to support production expansion or upgrades.
Provide leadership, coaching, and training to maintenance technicians to enhance their skills, performance, and safety awareness.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid Drivers's Licence
Leadership
Experience in industrial maintenance
Solid understanding of all maintenance aspects of a heavy industry equipment, preferably in the closed die forging industry.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as maintenance best practices and techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
Ability to troubleshoot general industrial equipment.
