Key Responsibilities

Muffler and Exhaust System Repairs

• Diagnose and repair issues across the full exhaust system, including mufflers, catalytic converters, exhaust pipes, manifolds, resonators, hangers, and oxygen sensors.
• Perform precise welding, cutting, bending, and custom fabrication to replace or modify exhaust components (including custom performance setups).
• Conduct thorough inspections for leaks, corrosion, damage, rattles, and compliance with emissions standards.
• Install aftermarket, OEM, or performance exhaust systems per customer specifications.

Brake Systems (Disc and Drum)

• Diagnose, service, and repair complete hydraulic brake systems, including disc brakes (calipers, pistons, pads, rotors/discs) and drum brakes (wheel cylinders, brake shoes, hardware, springs, adjusters, backing plates, and drums).
• Inspect, replace rotors/discs; machine or replace drums as needed for optimal friction surface and performance.
• Perform full brake jobs: replace pads/shoes, hardware, and related components; clean, lubricate, and adjust for proper contact, pedal feel, and even braking.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic components, including master cylinder (bleeding, bench bleeding, replacement for leaks or internal bypass), brake booster (vacuum/power assist testing and replacement), brake lines (steel/rigid), flexible hoses (for cracks, swelling, or leaks), and proportioning/combination valves.
• Identify and correct issues such as brake fade, pulling, noise, spongy pedal, uneven wear, drag, or ABS/traction control-related problems.
• Flush and replace brake fluid; bleed the system to remove air and restore firm pedal response.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and perform test drives to verify proper braking efficiency and feel.

Engine and Transmission Mounts

• Diagnose worn, cracked, collapsed, or broken engine mounts, transmission mounts, and torque strut mounts through visual inspection, pry-bar testing, and symptom evaluation (e.g., excessive vibration, clunking during shifts/acceleration, engine movement, or misalignment).
• Safely support and lift the engine/transmission using hoists, jacks, or support bars to remove and replace mounts.
• Inspect and replace related hardware such as mount bolts, heat shields, insulators, and brackets.
• Perform alignment checks and adjustments post‑replacement to ensure proper driveline angles and prevent premature wear on CV joints, axles, or exhaust components.
• Test‑drive vehicles to confirm elimination of vibrations, improved ride quality, and proper powertrain behavior.

Wheel Bearings

• Inspect, diagnose, and replace front/rear wheel bearings and hubs to restore smooth, quiet, and safe operation.
• Use bearing presses, pullers, and specialized tools to ensure proper seating, preload, and alignment.
• Identify early failure signs (e.g., grinding, humming, wheel play) and prevent related damage.

Tie Rods and Steering Components

• Inspect and replace inner/outer tie rods, adjusting sleeves, and related steering linkage to maintain precise alignment and control.
• Diagnose symptoms like steering vibration, wander, or uneven tire wear and recommend necessary repairs or alignments.
• Collaborate with alignment specialists to achieve factory or performance specs.

Shocks, Struts, and Suspension

• Diagnose and replace worn shocks, struts, strut mounts, cartridges, and related components to enhance ride quality, handling, and
