Description Of Duties/Essential Functions
This position is responsible for specialized technical accounting work involving the maintenance of the Centers accounting records. The position processes all Center purchases under $49.99, reconciles general revenue petty cash and completes monthly petty cash reimbursement requests from the Comptrollers Office. Reconciles individual's Trust Fund bank deposits to monthly receipts and Trust Fund system entries. Reconciles Living Skills Demand Deposit Account monthly.
The position performs all duties of the Recipient and Activities Trust Fund cashier and maintains all check book records and reconciliation files. Implements procedures to monitor the delivery of all Trust Fund Petty Cash purchase receipts to the Business Office on an on-going basis. Assists in the implementation and monitoring of controls to improve the timeliness and accuracy of input to the Trust Fund system.
Coordinates all vendor requests for reimbursement through Court of Claims. Processes payroll warrants and saving bonds in accordance with established procedures. Processes transactions for depositing miscellaneous collection into General Revenue Fund.
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of two years of college and one year of technical accounting experience. Requires extensive knowledge of accounting techiques and procedures. Requires working knowledge of principles and functions of standard office accounting machines and equipment. Requires ability to apply established accounting methods and techiques.
