Manufacturing Engineer – LevelII/III

Compensation and Benefits

    Estimated base pay $77,000–$123,000
  • LevelIII:
    Estimated base pay $93,000–$149,000

Key Responsibilities – LevelII
  • Monitor production processes to identify inefficiencies and implement small‑scale process improvements.
  • Train operators on SOPs and manage hardware disposition for defective or non‑conforming parts.
  • Develop and maintain accurate manufacturing processes for assigned areas, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
  • Analyze process capability with statistical tools (SPC, Pareto charts) and drive continuous improvement.
  • Create and refine production documentation, transitioning to digital platforms for accuracy and accessibility.
  • Lead small‑scale manufacturing projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables under supervision.
  • Use Lean tools (Kaizen, VSM) and DFMA principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Assist in equipment selection, purchase requests, and vendor evaluation for capital alignment.
  • Support maintenance teams in troubleshooting moderately complex equipment issues.
  • Mentor peers and new hires, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Apply structured problem‑solving methods (5

    Whys, Fishbone, APQP) to root‑cause analysis.
Key Responsibilities – LevelIII
  • Lead troubleshooting for complex process issues using advanced tools (Six Sigma, DOE, FMEA).
  • Oversee hardware disposition, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Standardize and maintain manufacturing processes, monitoring metrics for reliability.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance capability and reduce variation.
  • Standardize and improve documentation across assigned processes, enabling digital collaboration.
  • Drive medium‑sized manufacturing projects, including risk assessment and resource coordination.
  • Develop cost models, inventory analysis, and recommend process improvements to reduce waste.
  • Lead Lean initiatives and DFMA evaluations for medium‑complexity products.
  • Specify equipment, tooling, and gaging; create detailed RFPs and RFQs.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and vendor solutions for recurring equipment problems.
  • Provide guidance to entry‑level engineers and interns, offering constructive feedback.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or 4years of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4years of CNC programming experience (LevelII); 8years for LevelIII.
  • Knowledge of Esprit software and Swiss programming preferred.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, gear and spline manufacturing advantageous.
  • Experience with APQP tools and system for process stability.
  • Proficiency in Lean/IATQI methods and statistical tools.
  • Ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff.
