Production Supervisor - Bilingual

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Promote high efficiency, safety and quality in all processes
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain an innovative, productive and safe work environment
• Updating the Team on Techniques, Tools, Standards and Updates
• Continuous training of workers in the use of machinery and technological tools and how to apply new standards in their jobs
• Introducing and applying systems to optimize processes and increase productivity on the production lines
• Training the team in the adoption of these practices and constantly supervising their correct implementation
• Promoting Innovation in Processes
• Brainstorming meetings, recognizing contributions and implementing viable proposals
• Ensuring the Efficient Use of Materials and Equipment
• Supervising the proper use of raw materials and resources to minimize costs, prevent waste and ensure a continuous workflow
• Ensuring that equipment is in optimal condition and that personnel are properly trained and assigned to positions effectively
• Maintaining High Quality Standards
• Ensuring that each stage of manufacturing meets established regulations, proactively detecting and correcting defects, with the goal of minimizing the margin of error
• Understand the project and the required assembly steps
• Coordinate the setup of production lines
• Determine staffing requirements
• Train personnel on the production line
• Follow work order instructions
• Monitor quality, safety and productivity
• Keep management informed of problems/issues
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Comply with all OSHA safety requirements
• Perform other duties as directed, requested, or assigned
• Ensure compliance with GMP standards
• Conduct frequent rounds in all production areas to ensure everything is running efficiently and that production goals are met or exceeded
• Assign tasks to the team
• Monitor employee performance
• Ensure the proper use of resources
• Resolve operational problems
• Implementing Continuous Improvement Methodologies

• High school diploma or equivalent - Associate or Bachelors Degree in a related field is preferred
• 3-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• 1-2 years experience in a supervisory role
• Spanish speaking skills preferred
• Proven experience in the industry, specifically with knowledge of machinery and processes
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team effectively to achieve production goals
