Transporter; 3rd shift - Niles

SUMMARY

Transporter (Forklift Operator) reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The role includes operating various industrial power equipment and performing duties such as loading/unloading, order filling, material handling, stocker, production supply, checks, and project work. The operator maintains the facility’s equipment and materials neat, clean, and orderly and inspects the forklift daily.

• Daily Redzone Food Safety and GMP audits.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage; report quality variances.
• Picking transfers: pull and prepare product, ensuring the correct number and type is loaded and shipped.
• Loading/unloading: efficiently move product from staging or storage into rail cars or trailers.
• Equipment: use forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment to load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials. Use RF equipment for picking, receiving, put‐away, and load functions as required.
• Inventory: keep accurate records and reports; maintain bin location accuracy, inventory control, and security; assist in physical inventories; ensure proper stock rotation.
• Safety, sanitation, security: maintain a clean, neat, orderly work area; assist in maintaining warehouse security; conduct operations with a focus on safety and comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Support production with requests on the production floor (movements of pallets).
• Cycle counts, validate inventory, audit paperwork, AX transactions.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by supervision/lead.

• Standing on a concrete floor.
• Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, uniform).
• Bending, stooping, twisting, turning, standing for extended periods, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Required to work weekends.
• Required to work mandatory overtime when needed.
