Sheeter Operator - 1st Shift

? Niles, IL
? $25-$35/hr.

Shift: 5:45 a.m.

- 2:15 p.m.

A growing leader in premium packaging and print manufacturing is seeking an experienced Sheeter Operator to join their Pressroom team in Niles, IL. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, expanding company that is investing in new equipment and continuing to grow production operations due to increasing customer demand.

The Sheeter Operator will be responsible for converting large rolls of material into properly cut sheets that support production needs within the Press Department. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate Pasaban sheeter equipment
  • Read and interpret work tickets and job specifications
  • Verify proper grain direction and material usage
  • Retrieve paper stock using a clamp forklift
  • Run test sheets and inspect for quality and defects
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and make adjustments as needed
  • Perform quality checks to ensure customer specifications are met
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following PPE requirements
  • Support production schedules and deadlines
Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of manufacturing experience required
  • Experience operating Pasaban sheeter equipment strongly preferred
  • Sheeting and/or paperboard experience preferred
  • Clamp forklift experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret production tickets/specifications
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills required
  • High School Diploma or GED required
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing/production facility
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, dust, odors, and moderate noise
  • Standing and walking throughout shift
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs regularly
