- Performs setup and make-ready on the machine
- Accurately places dies into position
- Adjusts pressure of machine
- Adjusts the machine feeding and delivery sections
- Performs maintenance on equipment
- Assures proper registration of product coming off press
- Loads product into feed section of press
- Keeps management informed of safety, quality, and productivity issues
- Follows instructions from job ticket and completes proper paperwork
- Instructs and trains others
- Communicates well within a team environment encompassing all shifts
- Required to perform other duties as directed, assigned or requested
- Minimum of high school education or equivalent
- 3 year of related die cutting, foil stamping and embossing experience
- Required to read and write, follow verbal instructions and use simple math
Skills and Abilities
- Must have ability to handle multiple tasks both mentally and physically
- Must possess a high degree of physical coordination
- Must possess a high mechanical aptitude
- Must have ability to achieve acceptable levels for safety, quality, and productivity
- Must be able to work well with others as well as independently
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach
- Regularly required to use force to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Work performed in a shop environment where a noise level is moderate but on some instances might be required to where ear protection is necessary
- Might be required to wear safety glasses
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Regularly exposed to dust, odors, and moderate noise
- Occasionally exposed to hot and cold temperature
