Corewell Health is offering a sign‑on bonus of up to $20,000 for this RN position in the Post‑Surgical Unit A2, a 24‑bed unit that handles a variety of surgical cases including bariatric, orthopedics, general surgery, podiatry, and supports post‑surgical pediatric patients.

Scope of Work

The RN will utilize the nursing process framework to provide professional nursing care, incorporating patient‑family centered care principles through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge. The RN will provide quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader in accordance with Corewell Health policies and procedures, recognizing the impact of nursing care and patient‑family partnerships on outcomes. The RN will partner with patients and families to incorporate their input and goals into the plan of care, develop teaching strategies, and document education and learning in the health record.

Qualifications
  • Associates in Nursing
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing obtained within the last 5 years
  • Graduates from a non‑accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and have passed the NCLEX licensure examination
  • Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC
  • Preferred:
    Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA within the last 2 years
