* Seeking local candidates from the Chicagoland area near Niles, IL
QUALITY INSPECTORLuminii is the specification grade LED lighting manufacturer delivering a wide range highly modifiable high-performance, high-color lighting solutions. The Quality Control inspector will be responsible for examining functionality and quality of the incoming materials and components before manufacturing starts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Conduct detailed inspections of components to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Document and report inspection findings to the incoming inspection log for all materials to maintain accurate records
- Perform testing on quality setups to ensure various tools and equipment are effective
- Communicate and document data that is taken during incoming inspection process
- Update and maintain final inspection criteria of finished material
- Assist with quality documentation and communication
- Assist in 8D process: Problem statement, Root cause, Containment, Corrective Action, Preventive action, verifications)
- Work closely with manufacturing with regards to discrepancies and issues
- Assist on outgoing inspection QC line as needed
- Color inspection from paint suppliers
- Initiate incoming Power Supply tests/checks/ inspection
- Cross train on Integrating Sphere testing process
- Oversee and ensure completion of procedures
- 2 years of experience in similar position
- Proficiency in using various measurement tools and equipment such as calipers and micrometers
- Ability to use a computer for MS office software and excel data inputs and ERP updates
- Attention to detail and good time management skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet targeted deadlines.
- Must be proactive, results oriented, and have strong attention to detail.
- Continually required to stand for long periods of time
- Continually required to walk
- Continually required to talk or hear
- Occasionally lift and /or move more than 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include:
Close vision;
Color vision;
Depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud
- Typically work in a climate-controlled warehouse environment
