Quality Assurance Supervisor II – Niles, IL
A growing manufacturing company in the Chicago area is looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor II to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a hands-on leadership role with approximately 60% quality systems/desk work and 40% manufacturing floor involvement
, overseeing quality operations across multiple shifts.
- Manage and maintain ISO 9001 / QMS processes
- Lead CAPAs, SCAPAs and corrective actions
- Manage document control and quality documentation
- Conduct and support internal audits
- Oversee incoming, setup, in-process and final inspections
- Lead and support approximately 12 QA inspectors
- Investigate quality issues and nonconforming product
- Track corrective actions and audit findings through completion
- Partner with Operations and Quality leadership to improve processes
- 5+ years of Quality experience preferred
- Strong ISO 9001 / QMS experience
- 2+ years of supervisory or team-lead experience required; 3+ years preferred
- Experience with CAPA/corrective actions, document control and internal audits
- Manufacturing inspection experience
- Comfortable working both at a desk and on the manufacturing floor
- Strong communication, organization and leadership skills
Printing or packaging experience is a plus, but not required
. Candidates from other ISO 9001 manufacturing environments will be considered.
- 1st shift: approximately 7:00/7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- No regular overtime
