Position: Personal Care Specialist (Part Time)

The Role

RISE Personal Care Specialists engage in one-on-one interactions with patients and/or customers from the time they enter the retail area until they check out and exit the store. Our Personal Care Specialist candidate should be friendly and upbeat and connect each patient and/or customer with the right product and method of consumption for their needs. The Person al Care Specialist is a master of our menu and helps anyone who walks through the dispensary's doors.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with and assist patients and/or customers in a customer-facing, intimate retail environment
  • Educate patients and/or customers on products, methods of consumption, and safety as part of patient interaction
  • Recommend a safe and effective regimen based on product knowledge and customer needs; stay up to date on product information
  • Promote a positive, communicative, patient/customer-oriented work environment
  • Assist in verifying order deliveries for accuracy
  • Support the management team to ensure store operations run smoothly, in compliance with applicable rules and regulations, including daily activities and handling patient information for issues or complaints
  • Ensure local and state cannabis regulations are properly enforced
  • Maintain stock and store presence on the sales floor
  • Maintain hard copy files as required
  • Follow security measures and safety compliance procedures

Complete duties at assigned workstations during scheduled shifts, including:

  • Front of House:
    Check In, Sales Floor, POS (Kiosk, In-Store, Pre-Order), Curbside, Roll Thru
  • Back of House:
    Fulfillment, Receiving, Replenishment, Inventory Counts
  • Maintenance:
    Uphold cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards throughout the dispensary
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • At least one year of customer service experience; preference for candidates with specialty, customer-facing retail experience
  • Ability to work a schedule including mornings, days, nights, and weekends to meet business needs
  • Reliable, responsible, and dependable attendance
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Must pass all required background checks including state cannabis employment requirements
  • Possess valid drivers license or state
  • Must be compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry
  • Prior cannabis experience not required
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to perform tasks for prolonged periods (up to a full shift)
  • Move about the dispensary to assist patients/customers
  • Remain stationary if required to meet business needs
  • Converse and communicate with individuals and groups
  • Operate point of sale system, computer, and office productivity software
  • Prepare patient and customer orders by moving and placing products
  • Inspect and process detailed information from orders or inquiries
  • Move inventory and materials weighing up to 30 pounds
  • Position self to move inventory in storage areas
Skills
  • Consistently demonstrate excellent customer service skills
  • Desire to learn about cannabis, cannabinoids, endocannabinoid system, GTI products, and cannabis therapies
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Effective verbal and written communication with diverse audiences
  • Experience with POS systems
  • Understanding of applicable cannabis laws, safety regulations, codes, and SOPs
  • Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive feedback
  • Professionalism and integrity, including handling confidential information
Working Conditions
  • Patient and/or customer-facing environment
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions
  • Exposure to cannabis and potential allergens in a cannabis environment
