Mattel Retail Merchandiser RPT; Regular Part Time Niles, IL

Opportunity

As a Part‑Time merchandiser you’ll grow Mattel's presence at major retailers, working up to 30 hours per week (with extra hours during the holiday season). We seek team members who are passionate about merchandising, enjoy interacting with customers and store management, and want to drive results.

• Build strong relationships with store teams
• Act as a brand ambassador for Mattel & FP Brands
• Secure prime product placements for Mattel's iconic brands
• Unpack cases of various Mattel toys
• Merchandise and organize products on the sales floor
• Construct and deconstruct store fixtures including shelving and racking
• Implement point-of-purchase materials
• Execute special projects such as store events
• Complete reports, including store surveys
• Train and lead team associates
• Provide real‑time business insights
• Perform administrative tasks such as managing expenses, attending meetings, trainings, and checking email

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred
• Available to work daytime hours during the week; occasional weekends required
• Reliable internet access
• Reliable transportation to travel between assigned store locations

• Stand, bend, twist, squat, kneel, and reach
• Walk for long periods of time
• Climb ladders up to 12 feet tall
• Lift up to 25 pounds frequently, 50 pounds occasionally
• Push/pull carts containing product – occasionally up to 100 lbs
• Operate power tools (screwdriver & drill)

• Merchandising experience (preferred but not required)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Professionalism and positive attitude in representing the brand
• Strong time‑management and sense of urgency
• Self‑motivated with a bias for action and resourceful decision making
• Eagerness to learn new skills with a safety‑first mentality
• Tech‑savvy (Microsoft Office, iPads, and apps)

The base hourly rate for this position is between $21.00 and $24.00.
