Mattel Retail Merchandiser RPT; Regular Part Time Niles, IL

Position Overview

Part‑time merchandiser (up to 30 hours per week, with extra hours during the holiday season). Your role is to grow Mattel’s presence at major retailers, build strong relationships with store teams, and secure prime product placements for Mattel’s iconic brands.

• Build strong relationships with store teams
• Act as brand ambassador for Mattel/FP brands and products
• Secure prime product placements on the sales floor
• Unpack and organize product cases
• Implement point‑of‑purchase materials
• Construct and deconstruct store fixtures, including shelving and racking
• Execute special projects such as store events
• Complete reports and store surveys as needed
• Train and lead associate teams
• Provide real‑time business insights
• Perform administrative tasks, including expense management and email correspondence

• Minimum age 18 years
• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred
• Availability for daytime hours during the week and occasional weekends
• Reliable internet access
• Reliable transportation to travel between assigned store locations

• Stand, bend, twist, squat, kneel, and reach regularly
• Walk for long periods of time
• Climb ladders up to 12 feet tall
• Lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
• Push or pull carts containing up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Operate power tools such as screwdrivers and drills

• Merchandising experience (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and negotiation skills to build relationships

• Safety‑first mentality and eagerness to learn new skills

The base hourly rate for this position is between $21.00 and $24.00, varying by location, skills, and experience. Mattel offers a competitive total pay program and comprehensive benefits.
