Responsible for managing and directing all activities within the Georgia Nut Plant Warehouse that are producing Ready to Eat along with further processing needed products for public consumption. Warehouse Supervisor is to be the leader of a Continuous Improvement philosophy within the Department, and also embracing Lean culture principles and applying when appropriate. Department includes up to 10 multi-cultural non-union employees operating in a 24/7 operation.

Coordinates the distribution and movement of goods which includes Malt Ball, Coffee Beans, fruit and nuts, and other various sized confection items. Ensures necessary material handling equipment are properly repaired and running efficiently to standard and maintains focused motivated work force.

• Oversee up to 10 direct reports covering 7-day operation within 1 building.
• Attends daily production, labor planning, safety, and management meetings.
• Attends weekly staffing, and management meetings as assigned to properly communicate departmental achievements and goals to all necessary parties
• Owner of safety, quality, labor efficiency, productivity, and housekeeping within department.
• Direct and lead departmental continuous improvement initiatives
• Direct and lead departmental continued education and internal training programs
• Owner of company policies within department and consistently enforces rules and regulations set forth by the company in a fair and consistent manner.
• Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.
• Ensures departmental payroll is completed in a timely manner
• Owns, analyze and initiate alternatives for labor, material and inventory control cost savings.
• Owns departmental compliance with all necessary governmental regulations ie: OSHA, DOL.
• Owns departmental compliance with all Georgia Nut Company food safety programs ie: HACCP, SQF, and Allergen Control Documentation.
• Oversee the hire, discipline, termination, and structured training of all direct reports within the department

• 2+ years of increasing Supervisory responsibilities in a Distribution environment
• Advanced communication skills both verbal and written
• Advanced computer skills and proficient in excel, word, and outlook.
• Advanced computer skills within an ERP system Advanced knowledge of current food safety regulations
• Advanced interpersonal skills and management style maximizing employee empowerment, development and retention
• Advanced time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi task in a fast environment.
• Ability to measure, monitor processes to improve efficiency, reduce cost, reduce waste, downtime, and material consumption
• Develop coach and mentor (TEAMBUILDING)
• Identify material variances and provide continuous improvement suggestions
• Develop departmental goals and objectives that support GNC KPI’s.
