The Facilities Management Technician II performs routine and intermediate maintenance, conducts inspections, responds to work orders, and supports facilities-related projects to keep properties and assets at the highest standards. This role requires strong customer service, good judgment, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements while collaborating with Facilities Leadership and other staff. Available to be on-call and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect facilities regularly, identify maintenance needs, prioritize repairs, and perform routine preventive maintenance
• Complete, monitor, and maintain work orders in a timely manner; respond to requests and follow up to ensure client satisfaction
• Perform maintenance and repair tasks across building systems, equipment, landscape areas, and vehicles using safe work practices
• Report safety hazards and recommend corrective actions to Facilities Leadership; follow all safety procedures and use required safety equipment
• Prepare and submit quotes, proposals, and receipts (including credit card and fuel charges) to the Facilities Leadership Team
• Participate in staff development activities, required meetings, and evaluations; contribute to data collection, program evaluation, and contract maintenance as requested
• Maintain awareness of applicable codes and regulations related to facility maintenance and ensure compliance
• Be available for on-call duties and flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Leadership Team
Education, Experience, and/or Credential
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a maintenance-related field preferred
• Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance required
• Successful completion of background checks (criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, fingerprint) required
Additional Qualifications:
• Ability to perform effectively under changing job demands and take appropriate independent action
• Strong customer service skills; reliable, motivated, creative, and able to work independently or in groups
• Knowledge of policies, procedures, equipment, materials, and supplies related to construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities, infrastructure, landscape areas, and vehicles
• Knowledge of safety practices, principles, and applicable laws/regulations related to maintenance activities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to exchange information and receive work direction
• Completion of New Hire Orientation and all required training (including Relias) at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter
