Contents Technician
The Contents Technician position is a career in field services in the property damage restoration industry. The position is primarily responsible for responding to emergency and property damaging situations. Our team's professional approach ensures both the property and the customer are attended to, while prioritizing safety, efficiency, and property preservation.
Salary: $40,000 - $42,000 per year based on experience.

- Paid Training for IICRC WRT, IIRC FRST & Lead RRP Licensing
- Clean contents impacted by water, fire, smoke, or mold damage
- Utilize appropriate cleaning methods, equipment, including hand cleaning, HEPA vacuuming, and wet cleaning techniques
- Follow IICRC standards and company procedures for all cleaning activities
- Operate and maintain equipment such as ultrasonic cleaners, washing and drying machines, ozone machines, and other deodorization tools
- Ensure proper setup, operation, and safe use of all equipment
- Perform odor removal treatments for smoke and microbial contamination
- Apply disinfectants and antimicrobial solutions in accordance with established guidelines
- Inspect cleaned items to ensure they meet company and industry restoration standards
- Re-clean or elevate items as needed to achieve acceptable results
- Identify contents that cannot be restored and promptly report to a supervisor
- Assist in documenting non‑salvageable items for project records
- Maintain clean, organized, and efficient work spaces and cleaning stations
- Prevent cross-contamination between jobs through proper handling and cleaning practices
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and all company safety policies
- Wear appropriate PPE when handling contaminated or damaged materials
- Safely handle and store all chemicals and cleaning agents
- Accurately record cleaning methods, processes, and outcomes for each job
- Assist with photo documentation as required for project files
- Collaborate with contents team members, mitigation crews, and project managers
- Support team operations and assist during high-volume or emergency response event
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of technology (iPhone, iPad, computer)
- Customer Service Skills
- Ability to create documents
- Ability to work independently and / or with a team
- Ability to participate in an on-call schedule
- Ability to work within hazardous environment safely
- Ability to operate a company vehicle safely
- Maintain a level of confidentiality
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 plus year experience in a craft, trade, or manual labor position or equivalent schooling
- Constantly move about job sites; stairs, walkways, roofs, crawl spaces
- Occasionally requires a ladder to complete jobs
- Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone and face to face
- Frequently will lift up to 60lbs
