Purpose of Position: Perform cleaning and minor maintenance in assigned clinic to maintain the facility in an aseptic condition as required. This position is key to enhancing patient care and employee health, accordingly all duties should be conducted in accordance with infection control policies and procedures for best practices.

Essential Functions:

• Wash and clean surface areas assigned according to established specialized cleaning procedures to include waxing, stripping, shampooing, vacuuming, sweeping, damp wiping, etc.
• Empty trash, sort and dispose of contaminated and non-contaminated trash according to established procedures and Infection Control guidelines
• Check equipment prior to the start of each day for any malfunctions, notifying supervisor and filling out a work request as required; clean equipment daily
• Check fuel tank levels, boiler operation and water systems reporting any problems that need to be corrected
• Remove snow and ice from entrances to provide entrance to the clinic
• Report any major maintenance concerns, damage or needed repairs
• Perform other duties as assigned
