OverviewSummary/Objective:
This position performs a wide variety of activities related to the packaging, loading, and delivery of all fireplace materials and supplies.
- Attend monthly safety meetings; follow all company and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
- Verify all packaged materials for proper quantities and match sales orders.
- Discuss shortages and discrepancies with installers and report them to Operations.
- Assist installers/customers with load‑out, obtain paperwork signatures, and file the paperwork.
- Keep bins and wood storage areas clean.
- Clear debris and pallets from the dock area daily.
- Maintain the warehouse clean and free of trip hazards.
- Assist the receiving manager when needed.
- Pickup orders from various vendors; verify pickups before leaving the vendor.
- Deliver materials to job sites and customers’ homes.
- Maintain company vehicle: service and clean.
- Operate company vehicles, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.
- Maintain fuel receipts and turn them into the Operations Manager.
- Promote teamwork.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Knowledge of operational methods, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations.
- Safe and proper loading and unloading of company and delivery vehicles.
- Correct English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and mathematical concepts.
- Use of terminology of requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and other Operations documentation.
- Modern office methods and equipment, including computers and application software.
