Pure Air is seeking a full-time Facilities & Maintenance Technician II to maintain facility infrastructure, support equipment reliability, perform repairs and facility improvements, and provide production support as needed. This position reports to the Operations Manager/Production Manager and assists with facility maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, continuous improvement initiatives, and manufacturing support activities. This role requires independent execution of work across multiple maintenance disciplines and plays a key role in supporting operational uptime, safety, and regulatory compliance.
EssentialJob Functions
- Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and facility improvement projects including carpentry, painting, warehouse infrastructure repairs, installation of safety barriers, machine guarding, shelving systems, workstations, and related facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain facility and production-support equipment, including motors, fans, belts, bearings, dust collection systems, and other mechanical components, while supporting equipment reliability and preventive maintenance programs.
- Perform basic electrical and plumbing maintenance activities including replacement of lighting fixtures, switches, sensors, and minor plumbing repairs while adhering to established safety policies and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Respond to maintenance requests and work orders, prioritize tasks, coordinate with external contractors and service providers as needed, and maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Support facility safety, environmental compliance, housekeeping, 5S initiatives, and continuous improvement projects to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workplace.
- Assemble gas-phase filtration products according to established work instructions, quality standards, and production schedules during periods of reduced maintenance workload.
- Assist with inventory movement, material handling, equipment installations, facility modifications, and operational support activities as required to meet business needs.
- Comply with all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, environmental regulations, quality standards, and required personal protective equipment (PPE) practices.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, independent judgment, flexibility, and teamwork while adapting to changing priorities and supporting overall operational objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the scope of the position and business requirements.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Three to five years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or commercial facility environment.
- Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical equipment.
- Working knowledge of carpentry, general building maintenance, and facility repair.
- Basic electrical and plumbing maintenance knowledge.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, drawings, work instructions, technical documents, and safety procedures.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and prioritize multiple assignments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
