• Perform thorough cleaning and disinfecting of hospital terminals, patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, and other designated areas using approved cleaning agents and techniques.
• Follow strict infection control protocols and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to ensure safety for yourself and others.
• Operate specialized floor care equipment such as buffers and scrubbers to maintain clean, polished surfaces.
• Restock supplies like paper towels, soap dispensers, and other sanitation materials to ensure continuous availability.
• Dispose of waste properly according to hospital policies, including biohazardous materials when necessary.
• Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities, including areas serviced and any issues encountered during shifts.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to address specific sanitation needs promptly and efficiently.

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or healthcare environments preferred; hospital experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards related to workplace safety and chemical handling.
• Experience with environmental services or sanitation procedures within a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, extractors, and other commercial cleaning equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols consistently.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
