Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Cleaning Services

The Janitor cleans and keeps in an orderly condition factory working areas and washrooms, or premises of an office, apartment house, or commercial or other establishments. Duties involve a combination of the following:
Sweeping, mopping or scrubbing and polishing floors; removing trash, and other refuse;
Dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings;
Providing supplies and minor maintenance services, and cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms (WDR Summary 11150).

• Cleaning and keeping in an orderly condition working areas and washrooms of an office, or commercial or other establishments.
• Sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors using brooms, mops, and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using a vacuum cleaner.
• Dusting furniture and equipment.
• Polishing metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
• Washing walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
• Washing windows, door panels, and sills.
• Emptying wastebaskets and cleaning ashtrays.
• Transporting trash, waste, and other refuse to disposal areas.
• Cleaning restrooms' fixtures, floors, walls, and replenishing supplies.
• Responsible for working with a positive team spirit and producing quality work.
• Responsible for appropriate conduct and demeanor as dictated by Didlake Policy.
• Follows safety standards and guidelines in the proper use of the equipment and other activities.
• Completes and maintains all Didlake required training.

Education:

• Six (6) months custodial experience or High School diploma/GED

Skills and Abilities:

• Must have the ability to pass a background check.
• Possess the ability to obtain & maintain the credential for base access as required by contract.
• Ability to carry out simple but detailed oral instructions
• Ability to communicate with co-workers and work a part of a team.
• Ability to interact effectively with co-workers with disabilities.
• Access to the work site for this position may require a valid Real as of May 7th, 2025.
