• Repair equipment using appropriate tools to meet U‑Haul standards.
• Complete work in a timely manner.
• Diagnose operating errors and determine corrective action.
• Engage in continuous U‑Haul equipment education.
• Establish an effective repair route within the assigned area to service all down or inoperable equipment.
• Maintain an inventory of repair parts and ensure proper charging of used parts.
• Provide assistance in additional areas as directed by the supervisor.

• Self‑starter who can work without supervision.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Familiar with diagnostic tools.
• Understanding of automotive and trailer mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions (e.g., moving parts, machines, fumes, chemicals). Protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields may be required.

Physical exertion is necessary: long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach tools, and moving a minimum of 50lb. (assisted or unassisted).
