SummaryPerforms a variety of general work on U.S. Navy shore facilities, waterborne vessels, surface ships, and/or submarines. Tasks will be assigned by the Project Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities- Performs a variety of general manual labor tasks including, but not limited to, lifting and moving materials, loading and unloading vehicles, surface preparation work, and other activities in helping or assisting mode.
- Assists mechanic in simple repairs on machinery.
- Performs housekeeping efforts to maintain cleanliness of the worksite.
- Delivers materials as required.
- Performs duties as fire watch.
- Participates in special projects as required.
- Employees may be required to travel to work at other locations.

Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Skills:
Must possess basic computer skills to enter data into different database systems.
Education / Experience: High school diploma or GED.
Certificates and Licenses: Must successfully pass a criminal background check and obtain and maintain a security badge for all military installations and civilian shipyards as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to read and understand material safety data sheets (MDS).
- Able to follow safety procedures.

Wage Range$19.00 - $24.00 hourly
