Facilities Coordinator I, II, III

SEACORP is seeking Facilities Coordinators for our facility in Norfolk, VA. Coordinates supportive services for all company-owned properties, including maintenance/custodial and renovation of company buildings, offices, and facilities. Work independently using standardized practices and/or methods; works with and/or coordinates facility activity with outside vendors. Utilization of some resources from other work units is often required to perform the job's functions. Uses skills in basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, and/or HVAC systems to assess and complete repairs to SEACORP facilities and associated systems.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Inspect grounds, facilities, and equipment routinely to determine necessity of repairs or maintenance.
  • Prepare and review maintenance operational reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage and oversee operations, maintenance, and improvement of company properties as the point of contact which includes but not limited to trash removal, shredding removal, plumbing, electrical, parking lot, company truck, landscaping, HVAC systems, security and fire alarm systems and other miscellaneous contractors or service vendors.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate general maintenance, major repairs, and remodeling or construction projects for company property.
  • Set goals and deadlines for the department.
  • Acquire, distribute and store supplies for copy room, kitchen and restroom areas.
  • Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
  • Maintain office furniture inventory, make any minor repairs needed, removal of old obsolete furniture, and move any furniture for new hires and/or office reassignments.
  • Set up and maintain all conference rooms as needed by arranging tables and chairs for various meetings; set up equipment necessary to conduct meeting; clean up after meetings; put away equipment and dispose of any trash.
  • Restroom Maintenance: liaison for plumber; POC for any plumbing problem (clogged toilets, leaks, replenish restroom products, replace light bulbs etc.)
  • Attend to or schedule any building repairs & maintenance such as lighting, signage, hanging of any cork boards, white boards, pictures etc.; replacing any building hardware maintenance (e.g. doors, latches, hinges, electrical outlets, fixtures); window cleaning, repairs & touchups (painting, spackling, polishing, tightening) and sweep entrances daily.
  • Maintain, clean and organize any storage closets, corridors, copy rooms, kitchens etc. as needed.
  • Awareness and compliance with company policies and procedures as defined in the SEACORP handbook, Code of Conduct and Quality Management System (QMS).
  • And any other duties or tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

Facilities Coordinator I, II, III
- High School Diploma/GED

Experience :

Facilities Coordinator I - 1 year of relevant experience. Facilities Coordinator II - 3 years of relevant experience. Facilities Coordinator III 7- years of relevant experience.

As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Warehouse
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time. Significant use of material moving equipment, which includes climbing onto and off of equipment, turning head to visually see area around equipment, using hands and feet to safely control equipment. Significant lifting of 40 lbs. Significant use of computers, including use of a mouse and keyboard as well as viewing computer screens.

Sitting, stooping, bending, twisting, reaching and squatting on a daily basis. Work is performed in variable environmental conditions heavily influenced by weather and proximity to shipping doors. Work is also impacted by dust, noise and constant activity associated with the movements of materials and people. Personal Protective Equipment: safety shoes are required; hearing protection and safety glasses are recommended.
