FloorTechnician Position
We are seeking highly qualified part- and full-time Floor Technicians to join our team and help deliver exceptional service to our residents and staff. The ideal candidates will have experience working in senior living communities, including long-term care, assisted living, or memory care settings, and demonstrate a genuine passion for serving older adults.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine floor care, including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and carpet extraction.
- Operate and maintain floor care equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.
- Identify and address floor hazards; report maintenance and repair needs promptly.
- Respond to spills, emergency cleanups, and other environmental services needs.
- Maintain floor care supplies and equipment in good working order.
- Assist with community events, resident move-ins/move-outs, and special cleaning projects.
- Ensure common areas and resident spaces remain clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Interact with residents, visitors, and team members in a professional and courteous manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience operating floor care equipment, including buffers, burnishers, auto scrubbers, and carpet extractors.
- Knowledge of floor finishes, coatings, and proper maintenance techniques for various flooring surfaces.
- Understanding of OSHA safety standards, chemical handling, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work safely in occupied resident care areas while minimizing disruption to residents and staff.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing daily needs.
- Demonstrated reliability, dependability, and strong attendance record.
- Experience working with older adults and an understanding of resident-centered service principles preferred.
