We are looking for a Secondary/Packing Operator to join the team at our Norridge, IL location. Please note, this is a full-time, 1st shift position (7am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday).
Accountable for machining, GP-12 and sorting/reworking operations.
- Perform both visual and dimensional quality checks as required by the router using measuring equipment (gauges, calipers, micrometers etc.), keeping all material segregated between checks
- Report any issues with part quality, rates, process, and machine to Setup Tech or supervisor
- Verify calibration due date on all measuring equipment and report expired items to quality department
- Stop a job when non-conformances are suspected and follow instructions on NCMR, rework material, and enter into database upon completion
- Sort/GP-12 parts following the GP-12 process
- Perform drill, tap, and ream operations by following part specific work instruction book
- Segregate scrap
- Move material when operation is complete
- Package material according to the routing sheet
- Scale parts and report any issues with equipment or process
- Fill out routing sheet, enter in database, and report any issues with scrap, quantity, and rate per hour
- Label product when required
- Following tagging process
- Clean machines and work area at the end of the day or when a job is complete
Salary: $17.00 - $22.50/hr.
