Floor Technician

Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS) has immediate full‑time, permanent openings for our Floor Tech crew

Starting Pay: $17.0 per hour

Shifts Available: 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., 7 days a week

• Perform spot removal, extraction, bonnet cleaning, strip/wax, scrub/recoat, seal/grout, etc.
• Scrub, shine, clean, and repair carpeted and non‑carpeted areas using appropriate equipment and chemicals.
• Clean floors and stairways by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Move large furniture and objects when necessary and follow safety guidelines to prevent injury.
• Keep janitor closet neat, clean, and organized.
• Follow manufacturer's specifications for preparing chemicals and using equipment.
• Ensure building doors and windows are secure and locked.
• Report needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring additional service to Supervisor.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to operate and use janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies preferred but not required.
• One year of prior floor care experience preferred.

• Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safe handling for chemicals sheets/documents (generally in English; may be in Spanish where state required).
• Lift and carry objects weighing 15 to 25 pounds.
• Regularly bend, lift, stretch, and reach both below waist and above head.
• Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists.
• Climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
• Have eye/hand coordination, foot pedals use, manual picking, pinching, holding, grasping, and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation).
• Use KBSPresence mobile time‑keeping software for accurate recording of work hours, attendance, training completion, and employment information. All non‑exempt employees must download and use KBSPresence app on personal devices to clock in/out. Cell phone reimbursement provided in accordance with local laws.
