The Maintenance Director will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities.
Responsibilities:Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs at facilities.
Performs general repairs. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
Performs routine maintenance on building systems including lighting, flooring, plumbing, painting.
Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
Utilizes supplies and equipment properly without waste.
Performs emergency housekeeping.
Works jointly with facility maintenance/housekeeping staff to service floors, all patient rooms, baths, lounges, nurses stations, and offices as assigned.
Vacuums and shampoos carpeting and rugs.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or trade school preferred.
Maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing setting.
1+ year of supervisory or management experience.
Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (OSHA, CMS, state inspections).
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Proficient in Computer Literacy
Ability to work on-call or respond to emergencies as needed.
