Porters are primarily responsible for cleaning, sweeping up trash, mopping, or vacuuming floors, scrubbing walls and windows, and removing garbage. Porters may also do minor repairs and take on quick tasks, from transporting items to restocking supplies. This individual will maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building, looking out for possible safety hazards. Physical stamina is essential, as porters remain standing throughout their entire shift.

They may work on evenings, weekends, or holidays.

• Maintain Cleanliness — Porters at Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the store using cleaning techniques such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting.
• Monitor Inventory — Porters are responsible for monitoring cleaning supplies, noting missing items, and notifying management if additional stock is needed (e.g., tissue rolls in bathrooms, cleaning supplies).
• Assist Customers — Maintain a professional, respectful attitude, greet customers, provide information, fulfill small requests, or direct them to appropriate staff members.
• Report Issues — Look out for customer complaints, safety hazards, or non-compliance issues and report promptly to management, coordinating with other staff as needed for resolution.
• Other Duties — Perform additional duties and functions as assigned.
