Nursing Home Assistant Maintenance Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Nursing Home Assistant Maintenance Director to join our maintenance team. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems. If you have a strong background in maintenance and a passion for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, we encourage you to apply!
Responsibilities:
Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair
Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs
Plan repair work using building blueprints or equipment manuals as needed
Perform general repairs, including drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures
Perform routine maintenance on building systems
Clean and assist with upkeep of facilities
Advise the Director of Maintenance on supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to follow instructions from Director of Maintenance, supervisors, or senior maintenance workers
Thorough knowledge of Life Safety and DOH Nursing Home regulations
Knowledge of general repairs
Ability to use hand tools and power tools
Excellent organizational and time management skills
