The City of Bothell’s Public Works Utilities Division is looking for two seasonal team players to tackle utilities maintenance within their storm, water, and sewer system. Jump in and help us keep Bothell safe and beautiful!
Position Details- Temporary full‑time position, authorized to be funded for up to six (6) full months from hire, anticipated to start mid‑June 2026.
- Non‑represented and non‑benefited position.
- First round of application will be reviewed on Wednesday, May 27th.
- Default schedule:
Mondays‑Thursday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm, Fridays off.
- Perform detention pond site maintenance: mowing, line trimming, weeding, mulching, rain garden maintenance, and garbage pickup.
- Inspect, repair, and clean storm drains.
- Cleans and maintain storm system drainage ditches, culverts, ponds, and streams.
- Mow, trim, and weed small landscape areas around water and sewer sites; operate push and riding mowers, line trimmers, and other landscaping equipment.
- Assist with repairs of water valve boxes; exercise and flush fire hydrants, blow offs, air‑vacs, and water valves; replace existing water meters; maintain, clean, and paint pump stations and reservoirs.
- Aid in the repair of sewer maintenance holes; exercise sewer valves, and assist with sewer main cleaning and flushing.
- Be 18 years or older and have a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment.
- Ensure clear and efficient communication of information and ideas through diverse communication channels.
- Develop and utilize collaborative relationships to build informal and formal teams, aiming to achieve team goals.
- Effectively evaluate and prioritize various tasks, projects, and demands.
- Openly receive new ideas and other perspectives.
- Take responsibility for accomplishing goals and achieving quality results.
