Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Position Overview
As the Service Technician you will perform moderate level mechanical, electrical, and systems troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on equipment in accordance with manufacturer's manuals, diagrams, sketches etc. You will perform service activities to include configuration, evaluation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of ultrasound equipment and accessories. As a Service Technician you will also work cross‑functionally with engineering teams to provide support for failure analysis initiatives and maintain excellent working relationships with our customer service representatives.

- Test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic/mechanical devices.
- Perform break‑fix preventative maintenance by observing devices in operation to locate root cause of problem, dismantling devices to gain access for removal and repair or replacement of defective parts.
- Identify and source parts, supplies and repair items as necessary; evaluate alternatives to improve cost and/or reliability of equipment.
- Follow all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines; maintain situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.
- Perform rework and repair with strict adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Install and configure component software.
- Perform final functional testing to ensure product quality and reliability meet the highest standards.
- Perform inventory transactions and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Assembly creation and repair.
- Create non‑conformance reports and follow return‑to‑vendor processes.
- Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company’s quality system.
- Cross‑train in operational processes to sustain departmental objectives.
- Ensure a safe, clean and organized work environment and comply with 5S and housekeeping practices.
- Equipment calibration responsibilities.
- Preferred Associate Degree in a technical field of study.
- Must have a minimum of one year experience within a repair environment; preferably in the repair and preventative maintenance of electrical or electro/mechanical devices.
- Experience in the medical device industry is a plus.
- Proficient, solid understanding of fault isolation techniques for digital and analog circuitry.
- Oracle or similar business system experience and skill are desired.
- Good communication skills and familiarity with MS Office suites.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs with or without accommodations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Must be flexible and able to work in a team environment.
- Strong PC skills required.
- Starting wage of $28.00 per hour, with an additional $0.50 raise after six months of service.
