WE ARE LOOKING FOR A Utilities Technician

Utilities Electrical and Mechanical technician

Tobaccoville + Whitaker Park. Also supporting Brookcove and Rural Hall as needed.

• Operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Medium Voltage systems, including substations, breakers, metering, and transformers.
• Lead and coordinate vendors maintenance activities to ensure Utilities equipment and systems are maintained to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) database and ensure Maintenance Orders on-time execution.
• Verify and audit using the Building Management System (BMS) to ensure Utilities systems are safe and in efficient operation.
• Set and implement safety standards as essential for productivity, compliance, and personal growth.
• Establish and maintain effective business partnerships with vendors and between departments.
• Develop and maintain written procedures to ensure equipment and systems are maintained and operate at maximum efficiency.
• Maintain electronic records per best manufacturing and maintenance practices.
• Support company initiatives related to energy savings and other targets by maintaining effective communication and cross departmental collaboration.

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in an industrial environment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Ability to safely operate electrical equipment, tools, and diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting.
• Experience managing vendors and outside contractors.
• Proficient in MS Office package, including MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Ability to problem-solve, communicate effectively, and identify and correct electrical issues quickly.
• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• Work Keys - Reading for Information or Workplace Documents Level 6, Applied Math Level 5, Graphic Literacy Level 4, Workplace Observation Level 3

• Ability to use MS SharePoint software.
• A.A.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology or related field or military equivalent.
• NC Electrical License preferred.
