WE ARE LOOKING FOR A Utilities Technician
FunctionUtilities Electrical and Mechanical technician
LocationTobaccoville + Whitaker Park. Also supporting Brookcove and Rural Hall as needed.
Responsibilities- Operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Medium Voltage systems, including substations, breakers, metering, and transformers.
- Lead and coordinate vendors maintenance activities to ensure Utilities equipment and systems are maintained to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) database and ensure Maintenance Orders on-time execution.
- Verify and audit using the Building Management System (BMS) to ensure Utilities systems are safe and in efficient operation.
- Set and implement safety standards as essential for productivity, compliance, and personal growth.
- Establish and maintain effective business partnerships with vendors and between departments.
- Develop and maintain written procedures to ensure equipment and systems are maintained and operate at maximum efficiency.
- Maintain electronic records per best manufacturing and maintenance practices.
- Support company initiatives related to energy savings and other targets by maintaining effective communication and cross departmental collaboration.

- Are you able to work flexible and weekend shifts in a fast paced and expanding business?
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in an industrial environment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Ability to safely operate electrical equipment, tools, and diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting.
- Experience managing vendors and outside contractors.
- Proficient in MS Office package, including MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Ability to problem-solve, communicate effectively, and identify and correct electrical issues quickly.
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Work Keys - Reading for Information or Workplace Documents Level 6, Applied Math Level 5, Graphic Literacy Level 4, Workplace Observation Level 3
- Ability to use MS SharePoint software.
- A.A.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology or related field or military equivalent.
- NC Electrical License preferred.
