Furniture prep & Assemble Trainee

FURNITURE PREP & ASSEMBLE TRAINEEAT A GLANCE:

Broad River Retail is currently seeking a Furniture Prep and Assembly Trainee to join our Operations Team. The position is responsible for assembling pieces of furniture to ensure excellent product quality before being delivered to the customer.

DAY IN THE LIFE AS THIS MEMORY MAKER:

Unpacking and assembly of furniture in an organized manner

Inspect furniture for damages

Exercise proper product handling techniques

Lift and move products up to 50 pounds, or more using appropriate tools

Document complete work according to standardized procedures

Hourly Rate Paid Weekly This position operates on a contract-to-hire basis

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Ability to follow a detailed set of assembly instructions

Ability to SAFELY use small power tools and hand tools

Properly and safely use tools and box cutters

Ability to stand, stoop, walk, and crouch, for an entire shift

Willingness to collaborate with other teammates to perform task at hand WORKPLACE ENVIROMENT:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is:

Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch on concrete flooring

Must be able to routinely lift or move objects up to 75 pounds alone and team lift objects over 75 pounds

Working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday
