Custodian; Person Campus - Part-time Evenings

Overview The purpose of this position is to perform custodial and cleaning duties with respect to bathrooms, offices, classrooms, and other spaces used by Piedmont Community College. This is a part‑time position not exceeding 26 hours per week.

• C​leans, dusts, sweeps, mops and disposes of trash in campus buildings according to the assigned job schedule.
• Cleans bathrooms, floors, walls, windows, furniture, trash cans, fixtures and equipment.
• Checks paper products in bathrooms.
• Assists with set‑up and cleaning for campus events.
• Assists stripping and waxing of floors when needed.
• Maintains a professional appearance of the college at all times.
• Performs daily, weekly, monthly and periodically detailed duties as assigned.

• Performs other duties as assigned by Director, Facilities Services.

• Completion of high school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in a related field.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Knowledge of custodial equipment (vacuum cleaners, mops and mop buckets, dust mops, high dusters, and floor maintenance equipment).
• Ability to read and understand label instructions on various chemicals.
• Skilled in written and verbal communication.
