Duties
* You will perform the hazardous property storage area inspection daily to ensure that property is accurately accounted for, identified, stored, and that necessary measures (e.g., over packing) is performed for deteriorated containers.
* You will handle hundreds of various types of Waste and Material that are characterized as solid, liquid, gas, flammable, corrosives, reactive and toxic.
* You will conduct visual inspections to the tanks and cleans by hand using multiple tools to remove any type of corrosive cleaning agent that has been added.
* You will conduct "start-up procedures" on multiple pieces of equipment ranging from stand-alone glove boxes to extremely large aircraft paint booths.
* You will perform test sampling, stabilizing and neutralizing as required for various types of material and waste.
* You will read and interpret SDS/RCRA/EPA/OSHA guidelines Requirements Conditions of employment
* Must be a US Citizen.
* Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
* Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current forklift license and operate indoors and outdoors.
* You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Government Driver Certificate.
* Must have the ability to read and interpret operation and manuals in accordance to manufacture specifications in servicing various equipment in the facility.
* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Department of Transportation Hazardous Materials Training and Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA) Hazardous Waste Management Certificate.
* Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
* You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift. Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.

The Screen-out Element for this position is:
1) Receiving, segregating, identifying, classifying, compatibility storage, processing and disposing of hazardous waste;
2) Operating forklifts, trucks, material handling equipment and hand tools to separate, combine and transport hazardous waste/material;
3) Utilizing knowledge of specialized container requirements to store and ship a wide variety of hazardous wastes; and
4) Operating specialized reclamation equipment with knowledge of stabilizing and neutralizing procedures.
