Floor Tech 3rd shift

Job Summary

It is the intent of the basic job requirements, duties, and responsibilities to keep a building neat and clean at all times. This minimum requirements serve as a guide, not a limitation, to ensure effective maintenance of every building or worksite serviced by Flag Ship Facility Services, Inc. The position offers $20.00 per hour.

• Scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extracting, and mopping
• Review assignment(s) with Supervisor
• Gather necessary equipment and products
• Wearing safety belts while performing each work assignment
• Inform lead person of completed assignment(s)
• Record time worked and products used
• Use wet floor signs at all times on both carpets and tile
• Immediately inform lead person of any situation preventing completion or causing substandard work
• Follow all company safety rules and regulations – no exceptions
• Maintain company vehicles in a safe, neat, orderly condition
• Any other duties directed by president, vice president of operations, or operations manager
• Maintain a neat appearance and clean uniform at all times
• Attend periodic training and safety meetings
• Follow directions and perform work per instructions, including building maps
• Punctuality

• Basic floor care duties and responsibilities
• Operation of floor care equipment: automatic scrubber, buffer, shampoo machine, extractor, wet vacuum, carpet pile lifter, vacuum
• Proper use and application of floor care products
• Good listening and verbal communication skills
• English language proficiency (some positions require speaking English)

High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 1–3 years of experience in commercial facilities and building maintenance.

Small-to-large office environment with moderate noise levels. Exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise typical of office and shop settings.

• Pass criminal background check
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record

• Stand, walk, sit for long periods; occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear
• Maintain proper close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision; adjust focus as required
