Production Worker

Overview

Openwork has partnered with a Laundry company in Spartanburg that is looking to add production workers to their team.

Starting Pay Rate: $13.00/HR, Eligible for $0.50 raise after 90 days.

Job Type: Temp to hire.

Start Time: 6:00am.

• No scheduled out time. Will vary based on daily needs. Typically done between 3-4pm.
• Sundays always off! Other two off days will be consecutive. (4 work day per week/3 off days each week)
• Schedule repeats every six weeks;
  Five of those six weeks, you will have 3 days off in a row.

Caution: Warm Environment due to dryers.

• Open up customer returned soil bags, discard plastic, thread product out, allowing for visibility. Pre-sort classifications as required.
• The primary soil room operators located on the work platform, float between multiple positions, moving up and down the belt sorting into the appropriate slots, and are responsible for proper sortation (preventing mis-classifieds)
• Move empty carts to appropriate area for cleaning and reuse.

• Any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary.

• Anything unusual or outside of normal operations.

• If an attendant sees something in the bag other than regular items, must dispose of it appropriately.
• They may decide when to call Maintenance if equipment malfunctions or if carts are no longer usable.

• The ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without an accommodation.
• Must be able to count.
• Must be able to read to comprehend written materials.
