Description
Stokes Volkswagen is seeking Full‑Time Xpress/Lube Technicians to join our team. Competitive hourly rate depending on experience with room to grow and learn the trade. Previous experience a plus, but not required.

Under the direct supervision of the Parts and Service Manager, this position is primarily responsible for lubrication of moving parts of vehicles. Communication, accountability, attention to detail, accurate record keeping, and knowledge and compliance of federal, state and local regulations are required to perform the essential functions of this position.

- In order to perform this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily and per Organization, Dealership and Manufacturer guidelines.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups or employees of the organization.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide in 10 and 100 ratios. Ability to perform these operations using units of U.S. currency and weight measurement, volume and distance.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one‑ or two‑step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variables.
