Job Overview

The Janitor Exterior is responsible for the cleaning of assigned areas, including bathrooms, floors, grounds, and the maintenance of equipment used for cleaning service in and around the galley.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize restrooms, including walls, mirrors, toilets, and urinals, and mop floors.

Replenish hand soap and paper products.

Empty all restroom garbage containers.

Set up cleaning cart with all supplies and equipment necessary to clean restrooms.

Empty garbage cans and remove cardboard boxes from the kitchen area; transport garbage bags and cardboard to the outside dumpsters and trash compactor.

Maintain cleanliness of the back dock area by sweeping and mopping; mop hallway.

Clean and sanitize areas after bodily fluid spills following the standards established for handling blood‑borne pathogen spills.

Remove snow and operate snow removal equipment.

Follow proper sanitation and established safety procedures at all times and wear personal protective equipment as required.

Report all defective equipment to appropriate supervisor.

Use a pallet jack and clean floors and hallways with a motorized floor machine.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Valid Driver's License is preferred.
Minimum of one year of work experience in a commercial janitorial setting is preferred.
Sanitation license is preferred.
Must be able to furnish own transportation to travel from site to site.
Real current passport.

Physical/Sensory Demands

Lift and carry 60 pounds up to 10 feet.
Independently push a cart with a 40‑pound load up to 100 feet.
Full range of motion and be able to maneuver in small spaces.
Repetitive use of hands and frequent standing and walking for long periods.

Schedule

Monday 8 PM–4:30 AM
Tuesday 8 PM–4:30 AM
Wednesday 9 PM–4:30 AM
Thursday 8 PM–3:30 AM
Friday 3 PM–10:30 PM

In addition to compensation, we offer a benefit program to full‑time and part‑time employees that includes medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, sick pay, vacation, and holiday pay. The pay for this role is $19.53 an hour.
