Cleaning Personal

Part‑time library cleaning position – 2–3 hrs per week, Monday & Thursday preferred.

• Weekly duties:
  • Sanitize: “If you see it needs done, just do it.”
  • Garbage removal – collect trash from all receptacles (except director’s office), put in one bag, break down boxes; complete by Thursday closing.
  • Sweep all floors on main floor before mopping.
  • Mop walkways on main floor with all‑purpose flour cleaner.
  • Mop all floors on main floor with all‑purpose flour cleaner.
  • Coffee area – clean sink & faucets, counter, wipe coffee maker and cabinet fronts and backsplash with all‑purpose cleaner.
  • Tables – wipe‑clean children’s room, high‑top table, table by Christian Fiction, computer room table with all‑purpose cleaner.
  • Restroom – clean toilet (toilet cleaner inside, all‑purpose cleaner outside), sink (all‑purpose cleaner), sweep and wet‑mop floor, clean mirror and backsplash, refill soap dispensers.
  • Computer room – dust and wet‑wipe computers and counter with sanitizing/all‑purpose solution (not window cleaner).
  • Circulation desk – wet‑wipe with all‑purpose cleaner (not bubble scrubbing or window cleaner).
• Every other week duties: dust book cases, flat surfaces, bookcase sides, tables, window sills, computer desks.
• Monthly duties: clean glass (doors, windows, display areas with window cleaner); clean basement meeting room (dust, sweep, mop floors, wipe tables and chairs); vacuum stairwells.
• Every six months duties: wipe down woodwork with damp cloth; clean ceiling fans with dust mop; vacuum and wipe chairs; dust light fixtures (wet‑wipe if needed); wax walkways, circulation desk, and directors’ office floors; remove furnace registers and vacuum out.

• High school education required.
