Ag Expo Facilities Staff

Description

The Ag Expo Facilities Staff is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall readiness of the McKenzie County Ag Expo Facility before, during, and after events. This position helps ensure the facility is clean, safe, welcoming, and prepared for a wide variety of public events, meetings, livestock activities, exhibitions, and rentals.

While this position is primarily assigned to the Ag Expo Facility, employees may be temporarily assigned to assist with cleaning or event support at other McKenzie County buildings as operational needs require.

This position reports to the Facilities Director and is based in Watford City, North Dakota. Work schedules are driven by the Ag Expo event calendar and facility operations, which occur seven days per week. Scheduled hours will vary and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on event needs. Employees are not expected to work seven days per week but must be available to work weekends and flexible hours as events require.

• Perform cleaning, dusting, and related activities such as wiping furniture, sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming floors.
• Empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers.
• Clean windows, walls, and doors.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain bathrooms using specific procedures and products; refill restroom dispensers.
• Deep clean the microwave, fridge, cupboards, and all kitchen areas.
• Operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to report to Watford City, ND daily at required schedule time.
• Organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Must be a self‑starter and goal‑oriented.
• Knowledge of chemicals and cleaning supplies.
• Knowledge of washing, waxing, and polishing floors.
• Operating cleaning equipment.
• Physical requirements and working conditions: exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Medical

• Single: 100% paid for employees.
• Single+Child(ren): $269.28 monthly.
• Family: $397.80 monthly.

Dental

• Single: 100% paid for employees.
• Family: $16.98 monthly.

Vision

• Single: 100% paid for employees.
• Family: $4.32 monthly.

• 0-2 full years: earn 4 hours per pay period = 96 hours per year.
• 3-5 full years: earn 5 hours per pay period = 120 hours per year.
• 6-9 full years: earn 6 hours per pay period = 144 hours per year.
• Over 10 full years: earn 7 hours per pay period = 168 hours per year.

• 4 hours earned per pay period = 96 hours per year.

• Main Plan – County contributes 9.26%, Employee contributes 1%-3% – County will match.
• Public Safety Plan – Employee contributes 1.5%, County matches 16.54% (Certified Law Enforcement Officers).

• Tax‑free dollars set aside each month, up to $3,200.00 annually for medical expenses.
• $5,000.00 annually may be set aside for day care expenses.

McKenzie County provides $12,000.00 life insurance. Additional coverage available at a discounted rate.

Similar to a 401(k) plan; minimum contribution amount is $25.00, maximum of $22,500.00 per year. Funds cannot be withdrawn until retirement, termination, or an unforeseeable emergency.

Met Life plans may be purchased for an additional charge.
