Troon Management at Wellen Park is excited to announce the addition of a shared‑services Maintenance Technician supporting Palmera, Everly, Lakespur, and Oakbend. This new role is designed to help ensure our communities continue to operate efficiently while maintaining the high standards our residents expect.
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to support the daily operations of our facilities and equipment. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem‑solving skills, a proactive approach to service, and a commitment to safety, functionality, and overall community excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Routine Maintenance
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Repairs
- Diagnose and repair issues with mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other facility components.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to residents and operations.
- Facility Upkeep
- Maintain the appearance and functionality of all common areas, including landscaping, walkways, and recreational facilities.
- Assist in setting up, taking down, and storing equipment for events and activities as needed.
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.
- Inventory Management
- Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; ensure availability of necessary materials for maintenance tasks.
- Order and replenish supplies as needed, keeping within budgetary constraints.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with the facility team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans.
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and contractors to coordinate maintenance activities and resolve issues.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or related field preferred.
- Experience in facility maintenance or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various environmental conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to be on‑call for emergencies and respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, as required.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and crouching, for extended periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Work Schedule
- Full‑time position with regular working hours and weekend work; may require on‑call availability for emergencies.
