BUILDING MAINTENANCE WORKER

The purpose of this position is to maintain the appearance and safety of City facilities. This is accomplished by sanitizing restrooms, collecting and removing trash and recyclable materials, and maintaining the interior and exterior of facilities. Other duties include maintaining the Recreations Center’s various floors through daily, weekly and monthly required maintenance. Assist in keeping inventory and ordering janitorial supplies. Perform routine repairs as necessary.

This position does not provide direction to other employees.

• Vacation, holidays, and sick leave:
  The city offers vacation and sick leave, as well as ten paid holidays. Full-time employees earn three weeks of vacation during their first year of employment and 10 hours of sick leave a month.

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• One year experience in janitorial work, building maintenance, or related field.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License.
